It is general perception among
the IT professionals that it is quite difficult to pass the exam of 70 - 668 because
it is bit different from 70 - 667.
70-667 exam focuses on configuration whereas 70 – 668 requires advance
understanding of SharePoint concept like upgrade and deployment. The exam is
scenario based where students have to read the detailed scenario which is based
on customer specific requirements. I personally

practical scenarios to pass the exam in the first attempt.
In this course student will learn
a new architectural changes that have been introduced by Microsoft into SharePoint
2010. Students will learn how to upgrade from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint
2010. Students will experience a new service application, monitoring
improvements , powershell features and backup recovery techniques. It is
strongly recommended that students have prior experience with SharePoint 2007
and good understanding database and web applications.
The student for this exam needs
to design and deploy Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 infrastructure. Students
must have minimum two years pragmatic experience in the discipline of
administering, deploying, monitoring, upgrading, migrating and SharePoint
Server.
The exam contains variety of
questions formats which includes multiple choice answers, hot spot, drag and
drop, reordering, build tree. It is important
to note occasionally adaptive and simulation questions are part of the exam.
Students need to attempt 55 questions in two hours and passing marks are 70%.
This exam 70 - 668 Microsoft SharePoint 2010, administrator counts as credit
towards MCITP certification SharePoint Administrator 2010.
